Marilyn Hitchcock

Marilyn Hitchcock, a lifelong Wichitan, began her flute career as an elementary student of George B Tack, for whom the Tack Flute Foundation is named.  Following high school, during which she participated in band, orchestra, and the Youth Orchestras, she attended Wichita State University studying with Ed Callan, and Friends University, studying with Dr William Perry.  Following graduation, she taught elementary vocal music locally for 4 years.  She maintained a private flute studio for 52 years, retiring in 2015, and continues to perform in church, with the Delano Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, and with friends, as well as maintaining a 40+-year affiliation with the Tack Flute Foundation.
